You may be asking, “What’s the difference between an eBook and a traditional book?” The answer is, “Quite a bit.”
For starters, eBooks are typically much shorter than traditional books. If it’s under 30,000 words, you are likely reading an eBook. These are easily downloadable “mini books” that are typically used for marketing purposes.
An eBook is usually either made available on Amazon for free/practically free, or offered on a website or social media ad in exchange for an e-mail address. For an example, check out my homepage ;0). The usual objective of an eBook is to act as a teaser and prepare your reader for the eventual sales pitch.
This is in contrast to a traditional book, whose primary goal is to spread a message and build awareness for a topic, idea, or brand. Traditional books typically also have traditional pricing and can be found on traditional book lists, such as the New York Times Best Seller’s List. It will require an ISBN and bar code.
